The Keyword Frequency Extractor (KFE) is just one of many tools creating based upon the recommendations of our search engine optimization partner, Moving Clouds, designed for optimal indexing of OOF based resources. This tool extracts keyword strings based upon article content, external documents, or raw user input. The results can be leveraged by OOF as meta-data as well as for internal search purposes.
Recently our KFE has been upgraded to version 2.0. The Keyword Frequency Extractor v2.0 offers many improvements over the original keyword extraction tool. A new formula has been applied that now takes into consideration words placed within the following HTML tags:
- Bold Tags
- Italic Tags
- H1/2/3 Tags
- Links
- Underline Tags
This new formula also offers improvements in the general word frequency calculation, resulting in an overall higher value/quality generated keyword set. The result consists of fifteen keywords, two word pairs, and a single three word phrase.
Version 2.0 is a complete code re-write and is significantly faster then the previous version
